Natalia Braginskaya is a visiting professor of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. She is Candidate of Arts (PhD), Associate Professor, Head of the Department of the History of Foreign Music at the St Petersburg State Conservatoire named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, vice-president of Saint Petersburg Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the International Musicological Society (IMS), head of the IMS Study Group "Stravinsky: between East and West" and the IMS Regional Association of Eastern Slavic Countries. The main areas of her scientific interests is the work of Stravinsky, Shostakovich, cross-cultural musical ties. She is the author of more than 100 scientific works published in leading Russian and foreign publications. Prof. Braginskaya is the editor of 15 collections of scientific articles. She is the participant and organizer of more than 50 conferences and scientific sessions in Russia and Europe. The most resonant scientific achievement is the sensational discovery in 2015 of the orchestral voices of lost symphonic play "The Funeral Song" op. 5 from Igor Stravinsky; scientific management of the process of reconstruction of the score, on the basis of which the world premiere of the work under the leadership of Valery Gergiev (2016) and the first publication of the opus in the publishing house Boosey and Hawkes (2017), with a foreword and textual commentary of Natalia Braginskaya.
